Daksha. Legendary show-star and wonderful reproductor.

 

First time I met Daksha’s breeder Sara Venturelli in 2003 at the WDS in Dortmund. There I saw the future father of Daksha Makari and other dogs of Sara, who impressed me with their strength and stateliness. Makari was 5 months old and he was just charming teddy bear. Six months later, at the EDS in Bratislava, we met again. Makari was already a Junior and changed a lot, grew up and matured. Makari became Prize-Winner.

Soon I learned, that the first litter from Makari and Maya (Pronkberg Makari x Maya Delle Cime Biance) is expected and idea about the second bitch for my kennel was born. My Daksha was born on March 27, 2004

Daksha is 1 month

To pick up Daksha, I went on a long journey – in the Spanish Barcelona. Just there was EDS 2004 and Sara went there with her dogs, and from Moscow the dog bus was organized. In those days we almost did not travel on our own and it was very convenient to bring a puppy with an opportunity. We drove four days to Barcelona, across all Europe.

Daksha at the time of our meeting in Barcelona was 2 months and 1 week. All dog family met us right before the show. Sara led Makari, Maya and Camille, Daksha’s grandmother, Sara’s mom was with little Daksha on the leash . Daksha ran by her side, nothing was confused and not scared her. Sara told me later that they had been walking around Barcelona for quite a long time and Daksha behaved splendidly, walked side by side on a leash and was not even tired

This is the story of Daksha's appearance in our family. And then there was a whole life full of events.

Daksha was just made for rings. She loved to show herself and probably 90% of her descriptions had the phrase "Excellent temperament". Daksha loved people and so with all the judges she was very friendly and even often tried to kiss. Only when we had Daksha, I realized what it means to Ridgeback beautiful, productive movement. When Daksha ran in the ring, it was impossible to take the eyes off!!! These beautiful, flying movements Daksha gave to her offsprings.

 

 

 

Daksha’s show career began in 6 months, because in those years in Russia there was no Baby class at the shows. We started with Daksha in Puppy class at the International show in Nizhny Novgorod- Best Puppy of Breed and BIS-IIIp out from more than 70 Best puppies of different breeds. After that there were shows in Juniors and loud victories in Junior Bests - BISj & R. BISj.

 

 

At the age of 2 years Daksha gave birth to her first litter (ARESVUMA-D). Daksha's first husband was IntMultiCH Blomsterangens Charm By Merten (Merten x Alfalyans Betty Boop), who lived in Finland. The very first puppy born Daksha - a girl with red ribbon ARESVUMA DESTA DIARA - later became World Winner

We traveled a lot with Daksha. She was very easy and pleasured companion. Together we traveled by ferry,  swam in the mountain lake, frozed in snow in Finland and met sunset on Baltic.

Daksha took me to Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France. For 6 years Daksha have closed the following titles: Interchampion, Champion of 9 countries, champion of the Baltic countries, two-time Champion of the National Club of Breed Rhodesian Ridgeback of Russia, Grand Champion of Russia and Romania.

On the Special Dog Show of VI group FCI in Latvia Daksha was Reserve Best-In-Show Dog (R. BISS), judge E. Kruus (Estonia). And this is just 2.5 months after the birth of her third litter!

Daksha always stood out in the ring and it was noted breed specialista and all-rounders, regardless of the number of competitors. So, at the World Dog Show 2009 in a huge class of 43 bitches Daksha in my hands took the 4th place (expert Bo Skalin, Sweden). I am very proud of this result!

At the age of veteran Daksha continued to show outstanding results in the rings:Veteran World Winner, Veteran Euro Winner, twice Veteran World vice-Winner, Champion Veteran of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Baltic States. Candidate in Veteran Champions of Switzerland, Hungary, Austria. Veteran Winner of the shows" Eurasia"," Russia", Budapest Grand Prix 2013. Veteranenclubsieger RRCO 2012 (BOBv), BISv, R. BISv. I want to express my gratitude to Anastasia Kharitonova for the Daksha’s training and excellent performances at the most prestigious shows. I also thank Olga Shilova for Daksha's first lesson of handling.

Daksha is no less famous as a producer. In each litter she gave birth to a real star. Daksha – the mother of World Winner (ARESVUMA DESTA DIARA), Junior Euro Winner (ARESVUMA PACHANGA FOTINA), Top-dog of the year in Italy (2 sons – ARESVUMA KABIRI NGUVU and ARESVUMA SHABA NYEKUNDU) and Spain (ARESVUMA HA-SHAH), 6  Interchampions,  14 Champions of different countries.

 

 

Daksha lived 11 years and 2 months-it is so little and so much, the whole life and one moment........
